Dok ukrajinski investitor Jurij Kosijuk širi mrežu suvremenih peradarnika na sjeveru Hrvatske, reakcije lokalnog stanovništva su podijeljene. Farma u Hrženici nedaleko Ludbrega već radi bez pritužbi na mirise, a u Legradu, blizu Koprivnice, gradnja je počela unatoč blizini ornitološkog rezervata. Najveći otpor pruža Apatija, mjesto kod Ludbrega, gdje su mještani pokrenuli peticiju strahujući za kvalitetu života i tvrdeći da je domaće tržište piletine već zasićeno. Dok investitori jamče visoke standarde i ekološku dozvolu, stanovnici malih mjesta odlučni su u obrani svoje “mirne seoske idile” od masovne industrijske proizvodnje. HRT… protestna bojanka
