Snima ga Paramount, a glavni glumac bio bi Robert Downey Jr. koji je i producent na projektu. Downey se nakon Avengersa 2019. nešto povukao, a ovo bi mu mogao biti veliki povratak na scenu. Hirchcockov Vertigo nije bio instant hit odmah nakon prikazivanja, tek je naknadno prepoznat kao remek-djelo. Film je inače rađen prema francuskom romanu Živi i mrtvi. Radnja je ista, samo što je smještena u Pariz u Drugom svjetskom ratu, s nešto drugačijim krajem. Hitchockovi filmovi nisu toliko često predmeti remakeova, iako ih se nađe. Najpoznatiji je Psiho Gusa Van Santa. Nije tajna da su i De Palma i David Lynch i neki drugi vadili inspiraciju za svoje filmove od Hitchcocka, pa i Vertiga. Variety
