Stoljeće napretka - nizašto!

Nakon 100 godina u Britaniju se vratio šarlah

17.000 djece oboljelo je od šarlaha prošle godine u Britaniji, samo od rujna bilo je 6.100 novih slučajeva, trenutno se bilježi 600 novih slučajeva svaki tjedan, a sad je i vrhunac epidemije koji će potrajati do sredine travnja. Nije jasno zašto se vratila ova bolest, strah iz Viktorijanskog doba, glavni uzročnik smrti novorođenčadi na početku 20. stoljeća. Independent
