Na današnji dan, 17. rujna 1931. godine rođena je Anne Bancroft, američka glumica najpoznatija po ulozi zrele zavodnice koja je opčinila mladog Dustina Hoffmana u filmu Diplomac. Mnogo je radila i sa suprugom Melom Brooksom, a njihova je ljubavna priča doista simpatična.
